Chapter 6:

I would rather have less digital technologies in the classroom because I wouldn’t want my students to get distracted by all of the technology.  It bothers me when I am sitting in class and I look over at someone wwho has there laptop and they are on Facebook or they are shopping.  They are supposed to be paying attention.  I don’t want this to happen in my classroom.  I may use a smart board or projectors because they are easy to use and I know the students are not on Facebook.

Chapter 11:

One traditional audio technology is a cd player and one emerging audio technology is a MP3 player.  I am not really sure how I would use these things in my classroom because I want to be a high school math teacher.  Math teachers usually stand up at the board and write notes while they talk.  One traditional technology is an overhead projector and an emerging technology is a digital projector.  I would use both of these for notes.  I could use the overhead projector for writing nootes as I speak and I would use the digital projector for powerpoints. 

Theoretical Foundations

My first grade teacher used a behaviorist perspective in her classroom.  When I was younger I couldn’t still.  I would get up and walk around the classroom.  I couldn’t help it.  She didn’t like me walking around the classroom so she gave me three orange cards.  Anytime I got up I had to give her one of the orange cards.  If I used up all of the cards and had to go to the bathroom to bad for me.  I plan on using behaviorist perspective just not the way she did.  If I am going to punish my students it would be because of something they could control, like not turning in their homework or being tardy to class.

6. How comfortable are you using Windows? How comfortable are you using Macs? Windows are fine.  I am not a big fan of Macs because of bad experiences in middle school and high school.
